The Philippine Women Judges Association (PWJA) is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one of its dedicated members. Judge Maria Teresa Abadilla, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court of Manila, Branch 45, was known to her colleagues as kind, straightforward and competent. While her death in the line of duty, sadly in the hands of her own clerk of court, has left us painfully wounded and has gravely shaken the entire Judiciary, it reinforces our resolve to prioritize the well-being and security of our judges and court personnel even in the midst of this global pandemic.
