The Philippine Women Judges Association (PWJA) denounces the cowardly act of violence that harmed one of our own –Judge Jeaneth Gaminde San Joaquin of the Regional Trial Court of Libmanan, Camarines Sur, Branch 56 – and her personal assistant, Rocelle Martinez.
We stand united as an association of lady judges against all forms of aggression that are clearly aimed to sow fear and terror among our members, but which, instead, all the more fortify our resolve to uphold judicial independence and the rule of law. We recommit ourselves to working towards a fearless, firm and steadfast dispensation of justice for all, regardless of whom the axe falls upon.
Our thoughts and prayers for swift recovery go to Judge Jeaneth and Rocelle.
